What we collect

• Quiz answers and scores, anonymous. No account, no name, no login.
• Your self-described political lean (Left / Center / Right), if you choose to give it. It powers the scoreboard. We treat it as sensitive: it is stored with an anonymous session, not an identity.
• A random device ID stored in your browser (localStorage, not a tracking cookie) so your rank works and each device counts once on the scoreboard. It identifies a browser, not a person, and never follows you to other sites.
• Your email, only if you type it in. Never required, your score works without it.
• Basic usage events (question answered, share clicked, page referrer) to see what works. No third-party ad trackers, no fingerprinting.
• Your country and a connection signal, to keep the public stats honest. We record the country your connection comes from, a one-way scrambled fingerprint of it (never the address itself), and whether it looks like a VPN or proxy, so we can spot someone trying to fake the numbers. To check the VPN signal we send the connection address to a detection service once; we do not store it, and it is never linked to your name.

What we never do

• Sell or share your data with anyone.
• Connect your political lean to your email for anything except the rally emails you explicitly asked for.
• Send fundraising, political ads, or spam.

Aggregate data

We publish statistics computed across many anonymous sessions ("the average taker missed by 24 points"). Nothing we publish can identify you.

Deletion

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link that deletes your address immediately. For anything else, email terms@lessdivided.org and it gets deleted, promptly and without argument.

Age

This site is for people 13 and older.
